Marta Tomasi

Marta Tomasi (11 September 1983) has a post-doc position in Comparative constitutional law at the Faculty of Law, University of Trento. In march 2012 she received her PhD in Comparative and European Legal Studies at the same Faculty, defending a thesis in Comparative constitutional law titled "Human Genetics and Rights' Protection: the Relational Dimension of Individual Autonomy".
During her academic studies she spent a period as a Visiting Scholar by the Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco and The King’s College in London.
Since 2007 she's been cooperating with the Biolaw Project of the Faculty of Law in Trento and contributed to several national and European projects (e.g. National FIRB 2007 "The impact of Bio-tech Innovations on Fundamental Rights: an interdisciplinary and comparative analysis"; "Rights on the Move – Rainbow Families in Europe", co-financed by the EC within the Citizenship and Fundamental Rights Programme).
Since a couple of years, she's in charge, together with some colleagues, for the update and implementation of the website www.biodiritto.org.
She is currently involved in teaching activities for the course of comparative constitutional law and public law for the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bozen.
